The Kenneth & Nira Abramowitz Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity that defines its mission as being “to support pro-American, non-political, educational organizations in the U.S., Europe, and Israel.”

In certain instances, where a 501(c)3’s mission, and that of a nonprofit-in-formation (like ILoveIsrael; details here) are closely aligned, and the latter has submitted its 501(c)3 application to the IRS, the former can legally “adopt” it as a fiscal sponsor — meaning, processing tax-deductible donations and directing said funds to the sponsored entity. Learn more about the laws regarding fiscal sponsorship here.

ILoveIsrael is pleased to announce that the Kenneth & Nira Abramowitz Foundation has agreed to act as its first fiscal sponsor.  From the Foundation’s December 14, 2021 statement:

“After careful consideration of ILI’s mission & vision, the quality of its promotional video and website, and its statement declaring how monies raised will be expended, the Foundation has approved ILI’s request for it to act as a fiscal sponsor for its seed capital fundraising campaign.
“As of December 14, 2021, the Foundation will process tax-deductible donations for ILI, and will direct 100% of such monies raised to ILI (no processing fee). Donations to ILoveIsrael can be made by PayPal or regular mail at this page.”

ILoveIsrael’s founder, Jon Sutz, said the following, in response:

“I’m very grateful to the Kenneth & Nira Abramowitz Foundation for deciding to act as a fiscal sponsor for ILoveIsrael. Quite a few prospective donors indicated that they and others they know would be much more likely to make financial contributions to LLI were they tax-deductible, now – and thanks to the KNAF, this is now possible.”
